According to a Swedish Television report, 66 children had to be removed from their homes when the enforcement authority seized their parent’s belongings since the beginning of this year. Many of those children were being accommodated at foster families – often losing contact to schools and friends.
The report estimates that up to 1,500 children may face a similar fate by the end of the year.
A spokesperson of the enforcement authority told Swedish Television that the authority is aware of the problem and trying to solve it.
