Marilyn Maye To Perform At Annenberg Theater

The Annenberg Theater of the Palm Springs Art Museum will be the home of Grammy-nominated Marilyn Maye on March 7, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. Ms. Maye brings her celebrated wit and superlative singing style to the Annenberg Theater stage, accompanied by some of the finest musicians throughout the United States.

Ms. Maye has had an impressive entertainment career full of honors, awards, and landmark achievements. She has performed in cabarets and theaters, and has appeared regularly on many major, national live performance television shows. Ms. Maye holds the record for a single singer's appearance on the "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" (76 appearances).

While most performers regarded an appearance on "The Tonight Show..." as a major career-break, Ms. Maye had a standing invitation. Johnny Carson nicknamed her "Super-Singer," and in the early years she would appear with him in Las Vegas and many onenight performances in large venues. -- www.rijksmuseum.nl
