Steven Kazmierczak, 27, had been involved in student government, a proponent of social justice and had been widely regarded as a stand-out student during his time at NIU. Kazmierczak left the school following last spring semester and transferred to another area college.
Kazmierczak entered a lecture hall on the campus of NIU on Thursday and opened fire with a shotgun and two pistols, killing six students and himself while wounding at leats 15 others.

Reports indicate that Steven Kazmierczak emerged from a curtain or a screen at the front of an auditorium in Cole Hall armed with a shotgun and two pistols and began shooting.
Authorities have tentatively identified the shooter as Steve Kazmierczak. NIU officials said the shooter was enrolled at the university as late as the spring semester of 2007, and was now a student at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. - from Wikinews based reports.

I'm glad all of my friends are cool otherwise it would have been some problem in NIU dude ass went crazy. I was planning on visiting NIU next weekend i think i am going to have a change of plan. If we are not safe at school, home, and in the Church then where are we safe @ nowhere i guess man i wish people will realize life is too short for all the bad things we have going on. Tomorrow is not promised so do whats right.

What is going on in this world! people are just killing people like if its a hobby for them! My prayers for those families that lost their loved ones and for the ones who have their loved injured! many bessings for them.
i can't believe what he did i mean me and my family think that it was something was wrong with him and his family didn't help him neither did his friends or a counselor i think what he did was bad but if something was wrong he should've just talked to someone instead of taking it out on those poor t6 students i've always wanted to go to that school but now i don't think i want to anymore!
How To Achieve School and Student Safety
Studying in a university is not fun anymore, but comes with an asepct of fear. Education is great, but how do you achieve school safety? I am already thinking to send my children to study in Europe. It's less expensive and so far seems to be safer.
What can we as members of society do to prevent these things? Did you notice since last Sunday this is already the 3rd or 4th tragic event.
