Bermuda to open office in the United States

Bermudian Premier Dr. Ewart Brown announced at to the Bermuda House of Assembly members that the island territory will open up an office in Washington, D.C. this move will further strengthen already strong Bermudian - Unites States relations.

The proposed site for this new Bermudan office will be located seven blocks from Capitol Hill at 325 7th Street, the office will be located near the Canadian Embassy and National Archives. Premier Dr. Ewart Brown said about the site, "The site will provide the opportunity for use by Government Ministers and senior officials and our hope is to provide a localized source of information and key contact personnel at the disposal of Congressional staffers charged with briefing and preparing legislators."

Bermuda has a similar office in London. Although Bermuda remains a territory of the United Kingdom the island also maintains strong ties with its closer neighbor, The United States.
