General Mills Inc., the second-largest U.S. cereal maker, raised its fiscal 2008 profit forecast, citing sales growth and cost savings.
The Company of Champions reported today in a Business Wire statement it expects to gain $3.64 to $3.66 a share. That includes one-time items of 19 cents.
The company also said Tuesday it raised its goals for 2010 net sales, segment operating profit and earnings per share.
General Mills is a Fortune 500 corporation, mainly concerned with food products, which is headquartered in Golden Valley , Minnesota , a suburb of Minneapolis . The company markets several well-known brands, such as Betty Crocker, Yoplait, Colomb, Totinos, Jeno's, Pillsbury, Green Giant, Old El Paso, and Cheerios, to name a few. Their brand portfolio includes more than 100 leading U.S. brands and numerous category leaders around the world. On average, U.S. shoppers place at least one General Mills product into their shopping cart each time they visit the grocery store.

My name is Derrick McBounds; I am an American living abroad in Canada.
I am compelled to write about my personal situation with Hiram Walkers “A Pernod Ricard Company”.
Renown for their signature Canadian Club Whiskey.
I have worked in this industry for over 22 years, and have had to deal with a number of discrimination/harassment issues defamation and now fraud.
The Spirits industry is a billion dollar business, marketed to Minorities everyday.
Diageo is the number one spirits producer, Pernod Ricard USA is number two and I believe Fortune Brand USA is fourth.
Hiram Walkers a Pernod Ricard Company produced Canadian Club, Malibu Rum, Kahlua , Wiser and many other brands some of which are now owned by Fortune Brands USA .
Hiram Walkers is hiding behind a system makes it almost impossible to get heard in court if you belong to a union and have a collective agreement.
This is the reason you rarely hear about racial discrimination in the courts, in Canada.
It’s not that it does not exist….it is alive and well here but you must have the resources to take it on. If you do not, you contribute to the “No Racism in Canada Myth.”
My Union /Hiram Walkers did nothing regarding my repeated complaints/grievances of discrimination/ harassment. When faced with no alternative my Union and Employer produced a fraudulent investigation report anticipating that my complaints of discrimination would never get heard.
Their parent Company Pernod Ricard in Purchase NY and Fortune Brands in Deerfield Illinois are well aware of my complaints and many grievances. I have sent them ALL a well organized large binder of proof, including written complaints, affidavits, formal grievances, etc. yet these US Companies have not corrected the situation or forced their Canadian counterparts to perform a genuine independent investigation into these most serious allegations.
The reason ….they have the binder ….they know the outcome.
There were 4 visible minorities with seniority employed in the labor force at Hiram Walker Walkerville, the last was hired in 1988…20 years ago! There were over 300 employees.
(Presently there are two minorities)
In my 22 years I don’t recall any minorities in management positions. Fellow employees could not name anyone either.
These outdated practices have gone unchallenged!!!!
(By the union, by the community, by the system! )
To the best of my knowledge, Windsor is the 4th largest ethnic diverse city in Canada.
We are 1 minute from Detroit MI.
It would be interesting if they were asked how many visible minorities are in management positions in the Hiram Walker Walkerville location or any of their other locations.
Hiram Walkers filed a motion to prevent my case from being HEARD in a court.
Perhaps they are concerned that if the truth was exposed, some would demand a National Boycott of all of there products.
If my situation happened in the United States, I would be protected by the Courts; at a minimum it would be heard in court.
I have already spent over twenty thousand dollars just to try to get heard in court.
Many of us can not afford this.
You would think that our American Companies would not tolerate these outdated practices and demand equality and an environment free of discrimination and harassment.
These two major U.S. companies sell many products to Minority consumer’s world wide yet again they have done nothing to correct this situation.
The population should ask why!!!!
