Petanim's Dog And Cat Contest Nears Conclusion

Posted February 23rd, 2008 by admin_huliq

Petanim has come up with a very interesting concept which allows pet owners to dress up their pets and let Petanim's visitors to vote for the best dressed pet.

Basically if you have a dog, cat or another exotic pet and you love to dress up you pet you can upload the image of your pet and submit to Petanim Dogs and Cats to become a contestant for the top $500 dollar prize at no cost.

"What started as a hobby for me, turned out to be an interesting venuture, attracting many dog and cat owners," says Arnak Ivanov, the owner of Petanim.com.

Pet owners enter their cats and dogs for various reasons. Some just want to present their pets and show the world how nice their are dressed up, some want to win the contest, but there are others who need the money to use for the medical expenses of their pet.

Take for example Lexi, her owner speaks in her words by saying " My new Forever Mom will use the money to pay off the vet and continued vet care. 30% of our winnings will go for Walk for the Animals in Broward County FL. We have pledge that amount to help others like myself who need vet care until a forever home is found. So please vote. Puppy kisses for everyone." Lexi was a neglected cute dog and was badly taken care of.

In a noble move, another contestant Snowdrop the Maltese was so moved by Lexi's story that asked to transfer all her votes for Lexi. "Can I please transfer my votes to Lexi now, to help her ? I initially entered this competition to help Lexi, the rescued Maltese. If I won, I wanted to donate all the prize money to her. She is only two, and needs a lot of dental treatment," writes Snowdrop the Maltese.

Petanim.com offers three prizes. The winner of the first prize will receive $500 dollars cash donation. The second place is $200 dooars and the winner of the 3rd prize will receive $50 dollars.

Presently the competition is nearing to the conclusion, but it's still not late to enter the competition and introduce your loved pet's dress to "impress the rest." However, Mr. Ivanov says that in some cases the race is very tight and it's possible that we have to go for a second around. This will be based on how the results will turn out before the end of the contest on February 29.
