Boogie back to 1978 with the BalletMet Columbus Company dancers at the Dance with the Dancers Disco Party Saturday, March 1 from 7pm to midnight at Germain Mercedes-Benz of Easton. In addition to food, drinks and dancing, the event, presented in part by Abercrombie & Fitch, features both silent and live auctions.

Celebrating BalletMet's 30th anniversary season, the groovy party includes an open bar featuring Harvey Wallbanger-tinis, dance music with DJ Mark Dantzer, and hors d'oeuvres and desserts by Cameron Mitchell Catering. Guests can bid on auction items including vacation packages, shopping sprees, themed parties, original artwork and more.

The Dance with the Dancers lives up to its name as guests can boogie on down with one of BalletMet's Company dancers. New for this year's event is a VIP Lounge—BalletMet's own Studio 54, the lounge will have a private bar and hors d'oeuvres. Costumes that celebrate the funky fashions of the 1970s are encouraged, so dust off that leisure suit and platforms.

Since its start in 1978, BalletMet has garnered national and international recognition through its diverse repertoire, touring and educational programs and commitment to new works. From its beginnings as a small company performing in shopping centers and schools, BalletMet has grown into one of the largest ballet companies in the country. -- www.balletmet.org
