The minister adds that Sweden hopes for new negotiations between Greek and Turkish Cypriots - requiring international engagement especially from the United Nations.
Bildt maintains that reunification of Cyprus would make it easier for Turkey to join the European Union - and that Sweden is one of the more positive members of the EU in favour of Turkish membership.
