Thanksgiving for medical science

A special thanksgiving event for friends and relatives of those who have donated their bodies to medical science will be held by the University of Bristol on Wednesday 27 February.

People who donate their body contribute in a vital way to training by medical schools and such donations are highly valued by Bristol University staff and students. The education and training of medical professionals, as well as biomedical research, benefit from the generosity of those who donate bodies for use after their death.

The event will be held at 1.15 pm on Wednesday 27 February in the University’s Old Council Chamber, Wills Memorial Building, Queen’s Road, Bristol. Friends and relatives of those who have donated their bodies are welcome to attend, as well as anyone who might be considering leaving their body to medical science.
