Lenovo officially announces ThinkPad X300

Lenovo today officially released its highly anticipated ThinkPad X300 laptop, the thinnest and lightest ultra portable notebook in its class, equipped with Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz processor, and first competitor to famous MacBook Air from Apple.

Designed for maximum mobility and performance, Lenovo ThinkPad X300 notebook offers extreme portability with just 2.9 pounds weight and battery life of up to maximum 10 hours of usage.

The ThinkPad X300 notebook offers an optional built in 7 millimeter slim DVD burner and integrated stereo speakers, a digital microphone and camera for full multimedia pleasures.

As for connectivity options there are WiMax support as well as ultra-wideband/wireless USB, WWAN4, WLAN5 and GB Ethernet, built in GPS so mobile users will be able to navigate easily with option to connect to popular mapping programs.

Company representatives also announced that ThinkPad X300 will support team members on the official aircraft of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay when it starts 137,000 kilometer, five-continent marathon next month.
