Today Apple released new iPhone firmware/software version 1.1.4., which is now available via iTunes software update or as 165MB standalone download from apple website. At the same time we don't have so good news about iPhone/iPod Touch software development kit.
So far it is not clear if this iPhone has any new features except bug fixes and what will happen with all those jailbroken and unlocked iPhones in the wild. Some of first reports claim that there are no changes and unlocked phones work without any changes but if you are running some of third party applications and intend to use them for some time maybe it would be good idea not to upgrade on iPhone firmware 1.1.4. so fast.
As for the software development kit for iPhones and iPod Touch, latest reports from Business Week says that the SDK would be delayed to March. And this Monday, The Unofficial Apple Weblog wrote that the initial SDK will be just in alpha or beta release, wile a full version will come later this year at Apple's Worldwide Developer Conference.
