Adult Stem Cells Show Medical Promise

Adult stem cell therapy has successfully treated leukemia and other cancers for years, in the form of bone marrow transplants.

A new study in the Journal of the American Medical Association [JAMA] finds treatment with adult stem cells is also helping patients with autoimmune diseases and heart conditions. VOA's Alex Villarreal reports.
