Swedish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Enterprise and Energy Maud Olofsson is in the US to talk about Swedish energy and environmental policies.
She is to be a keynote speaker at the Washington International Renewable Conference, and she says she will stress the importance of setting ambitious goals by politicians, saying it has a knock on effect on business and consumers.
She is also to meet with American energy minister Samuel Bodman.
