The European Central Bank has lowered its growth forecast for the eurozone in 2008 by a small margin.
The bank predicts that growth will be between 1.3 and 2.1 percent. Three months ago the bank predicted that the eurozone economies would grow by between 1.5 and 2.5 percent in 2008.
The bank's most important interest rate remains unchanged at 4 percent. The ECB is worried about inflation, which was 3.2 percent in February, well above the goal of less than 2 percent.
Inflation in the Netherlands was 2.2 percent last month. The price of clothing (4.5%) and road taxes (7.2%) increased sharply.
