KU Dance Welcomes Clarinet Festival

The Clarinet Festival will feature musicians Fred Ormond, Greg Oakes, Bill Jackson, David Etheridge and Larry Maxey, KU professor emeritus of music (clarinet).

This first-year event was organized by Stephanie Zelnick, KU assistant professor of clarinet. Zelnick has performed as a soloist and orchestral clarinetist throughout the United States, South America, and Europe. She is currently serving as principal clarinet in the Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra, Central City Opera, and the Colorado Ballet, and performs regularly with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.

Zelnick has previously served on the faculties of the University of Wyoming and the University of Northern Colorado as well as teaching at Florida State University. -- www2.ku.edu
