The Presidents of Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela have settled a weeklong crisis that was starting to get close to war. The dispute began when Colombian forces attacked FARC rebels inside Ecuador.

Presidents Álvaro Uribe Velez of Colombia, Rafael Correa of Ecuador and Hugo Chávez of Venezuela ended a weeklong crisis that brought them to the brink of war. This all started when Colombian forces attacked FARC rebels inside Ecuador. Colombia decided not to seek genocide charges against Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez at a international court.

Also at this very important meeting President Uribe showed documents he said were from Raul Reyes laptop, the FARC commander killed in the attack. He said one message from Reyes told about "aid delivered to Rafael Correa, as instructed." Colombia said it would turn over the evidence to Ecuador for further investigation.

In the end it is safe to say that these South American nations will be freinds again, for at least a while.
