MLB Rivals Might Share Stadium

The Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox might be sharing a field, despite a long crosstown rivalry that still divides Chicago baseball fans.

The Rival Baseball teams of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox might be playing on the same field next season. Due too expected renovations at the Cub's Wrigley Field they might very well have to play at least half their season at U.S. Cellular Field on Chicagos South Side. The Cubs new president told the media on friday, that they may ask to use U.S. Cellular Field.

People who don't live in Chicago might wonder, what's so important about a temporary switch. Well it's really not that important unless you live in Chicago. The White Sox, the team that currently plays at U.S. Cellular, has had a rivalry with the Cubs since the founding of the American League.

Some people in the Chicagoland area might not care about this temporary arrangement, but those loyal fans probably do.

Cubs/Sox spilt field?

Anonymous's picture

As a Sox fan I think they can play on a little league field for all I care... All the Cub fans hype-up the glorious Wrigley, AND would never tolerate the idea of the Sox splitting it with them for a season. So they can take their ass on down the road.

It's not like they won't sell out every game anyway.
