Vice President Cheney to Visit Middle East

Vice President Dick Cheney will visit the Middle East later this month to meet with various leaders in the region.

A White House statement Monday says Cheney will leave on March 16, and make stops in Oman, Saudi Arabia, Israel, the West Bank and Turkey.

The statement says he will meet with leaders in the region to discuss issues of mutual interest.

The vice president's trip follows a visit by U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice last week to Israel and the West Bank.
