Instead of relying on the Employment Services Bureau to help immigrants find work locally, Södertälje has launched a special project for refugees to find employment all over Sweden.
However, local politicians consider this action a last resort and Municipal Commissioner Anders Lago sees this as a sign of the employment services’ failure to do their job.
Södertälje, south of Stockholm, takes on around 100 refugees every month, despite a dearth of accommodation and jobs.
