Stroll through our gardens and be on the lookout for spring's early bloomers such as bluebonnets, Indian paintbrush, winecups, Blackfoot Daisy, primrose, Drummond phlox and Giant spiderwort. Children will enjoy nature-inspired crafts and activities in the Children's Little House, and a mural they can color.
During the festival, the store will feature book and print signings. Artist Dalhart Windberg will sign this year's new print, "Her Life's Work," during his trunk show, noon to 5 p.m., Saturday. Many other Windberg prints and limited editions will be available this day only. Patti Johnson will visit with store customers about her hand-painted glassware, 1 to 4 p.m., Sunday.
During that same time, L.Ray, official Wildflower Daysä 2008 artist, will sign the "Giallardia"/Indian blanket print and T-shirts. All previous years' Wildflower DaysTM prints will be 40 percent off both days.
Festival participants can also see the end of the exhibit of hand cut watercolors of wildflowers by renowned artist Shou Ping. Her scissor art will be on from March 15 to March 16 at the Center's McDermott Learning Center. -- www.wildflower.org
