Visitors can test out the incredible, cutting edge technology that has the potential to turn athletes into gold medal winners. Children can venture on a top secret spying mission, take to the skies in the Flight gallery or impress friends and family in the Super Science Museum Game Show.
From 15 March visitors can be transported back to Ancient Egypt and to discover Mummies 3D: Secrets of the Pharaohs, showing at the Science Museum's gigantic IMAX 3D Cinema. Throughout the holidays children can capture their shadows, launch a rocket and control a magnetic cloud in Launchpad, the largest free interactive science gallery in the UK.

Join us for 30 minutes of fantastic fun as we dazzle you with demos and fascinate you with facts in this interactive family show with a scientific twist! This event is located in the Science Museum's Theatre on the ground floor. Suitable for children aged 5 years and older, 120 places available.

Choo! Choo! Next stop America. Hop on board for this story-telling adventure and discover all about the life of Elijah McCoy, an African- American who changed the way trains work forever. Head down to the Things gallery in the Science Museum's basement or ask at the information desk for further details. Suitable for children aged 7 years and under, 60 places available.

Warning! Warning! There's an intruder and we need your help! Come along and crack cryptic clues on this interactive top secret spy mission. This event is located in the Science Museum's Theatre on the ground floor. Suitable for children aged 8 years and older, 120 places available.
* Mummies 3D: Secrets of the Pharaohs (PG): Opens 15 March
Part historic journey and part forensic adventure, Mummies 3D: Secrets of the Pharaohs follows researchers and explorers as they piece together the archaeological and genetic clues of Egyptian mummies. Through state-of-the-art computer graphics and dramatic reconstructions, the film tells the story of one of the greatest finds in modern history: the late 19th century discovery of a cache of forty mummies, including twelve Kings of Egypt, among them the legendary Rameses the Great.
* Launchpad
The largest free interactive science gallery in the UK has reopened with new exhibits which will allow visitors to launch a rocket, turn their head into a sound box and control a magnetic cloud. Find out how the world works by testing out the 35m long Echo Tube, the beautiful Icy Bodies and over 50 more brand new interactive exhibits demonstrating light, sound, electricity and magnetism and more amazing physics phenomena. Remember to catch one of the spectacular science shows performed by Explainers throughout the day. Ideal for children aged 8-14 years old.

Shows run daily seven days a week in the Flight, Challenge of Materials, Making the Modern World, and Space galleries.
