Tickets range in price from $10 to $50, with discounts available for students and groups. Patrons aged 25 and under can purchase tickets to any performance for $10, pending availability. Forced into hiding during the Holocaust, the German-Jewish teenager Anne Frank (played by Lucy DeVito), her family and four others spent 25 months during World War II living secretly in an annex of rooms above her father's office in Amsterdam . Anne's diary, saved by one of the family's helpers, Miep Gies, was first published in 1947. Today, it is honored not only as a powerful and haunting legacy of the Holocaust; it is also an enduring tribute to Anne Frank's own spirit and her artistry as a writer.
Lucy DeVito makes her Intiman debut as Anne Frank. The cast also includes Matthew Boston (Mr. Frank), Alban Dennis (Mr. Dussel), Lindsay Evans (Margot Frank), Jim Gall (Mr. Kraler), Carol Roscoe (Miep), Shellie Shulkin (Mrs. Van Daan), Amy Thone (Mrs. Frank), Connor Toms (Peter Van Daan) and Michael Winters (Mr. Van Daan).
Director Sari Ketter has worked at The Guthrie Theater (The Royal Family, A Christmas Carol); Shakespeare Santa Cruz, Great Lakes Shakespeare and Idaho Shakespeare Festival (The Merry Wives of Windsor); Idaho Shakespeare (The Taming of the Shrew) and Portland Stage (The Importance of Being Earnest, Blithe Spirit), among many other theater and opera companies around the country. She assisted Artistic Director Bartlett Sher on Intiman's 2006 production of Richard III, and was a longtime member of the artistic staff at The Guthrie Theater and assistant director to the late Garland Wright on many productions.
The creative team includes scenic designer Nayna Ramey, costume designer Frances Kenny, lighting designer Marcus Dilliard and sound designer Chris Walker. The New York casting is by Janet Foster, C.S.A. and the stage manager is Lisa Ann Chernoff. -- www.intiman.org
