Get ready to shimmy, shake and gyrate at the new Dancing With the Stars. Or if you prefer not to dance along, sit on your sofa and watch celebrities in skimpy costumes.
Tonight, Dancing With the Stars returns to ABC at 8 p.m.
It’s too early to pick a favorite, but I think everyone is expecting Gold medal winner Kristy Yamaguchi to do well. She obviously has some dance experience. (She dances on ice skates, people, so how hard can a ballroom floor be?) Plus, she’s an athlete, and historically, they always do well in the competition. (Hello Emmitt Smith, Apolo Anton Ono, Helio Castroneves, Jerry Rice and Laila Ali.)
The big buzz this season of Dancing With the Stars is that for the first time one of the contestants is deaf: Marlee Matlin. I know plenty of you will be tuning in to see how she’s going to do.
