S.T.O.M.P. Academy Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Training Teaches Offensive Tactical Moves for Controlling Human Trafficking Offenders without Weapons

No Limits, the largest mixed martial arts academy and event center in North America, is providing S.T.O.M.P. (Strategical Tactical Offensive Maneuvers on Perpetrators) Academy Training for local police, federal agents, security professionals, attorneys, sheriff department officers and investigators. Friday, April 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Pro fighters will get in the ring with law enforcement professionals to teach a variety of Brazilian jiu jitsu techniques that can be employed to disarm and subdue offenders without utilizing conventional weapons. These offensive tactical moves will afford better control of suspects, and can avert potential appearances of violence and brutality.

Training will also review a variety of strategies and tactics designed to advance the fight against human trafficking, and will include instruction in investigation and questioning in human trafficking cases, as well as an overview of state and federal legislation impacting the crime.

WHY: The U.S. State Department estimates that more than 27 million people around the world are victims of human slavery or trafficking. It’s also projected that in a few years, the billions of dollars generated in human slavery and sex trafficking will exceed that generated by worldwide illegal drug trafficking. Human trafficking cases have been investigated in all 50 states and U.S. territories.
