NYSE Euronext (NYX) today announced that the Barclays PLC , iPath Optimized Currency Carry ETN listed and began trading on NYSE Arca under the ticker symbol ICI .
Based on the Barclays Intelligent Carry IndexTM, which is designed to reflect the total return of an "Intelligent Carry Strategy", ICI gives investors access to a variety of currencies commonly referred to as the "G10 currencies" including: the U.S. dollar (USD), euro (EUR), Japanese yen (JPY), Canadian dollar (CAD), Swiss franc (CHF), British pound sterling (GBP ), Australian dollar (AUD ), New Zealand dollar (NZD), the Norwegian krone (NOK ), and the Swedish krona (SEK).
Including today's listings, NYSE Arca has 250 primary ETF and 33 ETN listings and trades all other eligible ETFs on a UTP basis.
In 2007, NYSE Arca added 122 new ETFs and ETNs to its roster of primary listings, including a record 101 IPOs. For the full-year 2007, NYSE Arca was the primary listing exchange of choice with a total of 261 ETFs and ETNs listed and $340 billion assets under management. -- www.nyse.com
