As of March 25, approximately 110 of the best professional and amateur women golfers in the world are set to play in the tournament, which will be held for the 37th year at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif., April 3-6. Additional players may still qualify pending the outcome of this week's Safeway International Presented by Coca-Cola LPGA tournament in Phoenix, Ariz.
Topping the list for the 2008 Kraft Nabisco Championship are defending champion Morgan Pressel, Rolex Player of the Year Lorena Ochoa, Annika Sorenstam, Karrie Webb, Paula Creamer, Natalie Gulbis and Coachella Valley resident Nicole Castrale. Many of the tournament's past champions will compete for the $2 million purse, along with a number of new faces, including Japanese star Momoko Ueda and Louise Friberg, winner of the MasterCard Classic Honoring Alejo Peralta Presented by Nextel in Mexico City earlier this month.
