The UFL or United Football League is a new up start league that will open up on October 8th of this year. J.P. will now play for former New York Giants head coach Jim Fassel and play in Las Vegas.
While some around the football world are dreading the fact that another league is starting up to rival the NFL, others are very excited to watch a different brand of football.
The UFL's first season is slated to have only a six game schedule.
J.P. Losman may return to the NFL in a few years
While this move for J.P. might not be a popular one in some circles, I believe it is a sound move on his part.
For one he will get to work with Fassel, who is credited with getting other well known quarterbacks careers on track in the past like John Elway, Boomer Esiason and Kerry Collins.
Losman could be the next Tommy Maddox as Tom was also considered to be a possible replacement for John Elway in Denver but struggled when given opportunity's. He when on to an upstart league in the XFL and lead his team to the only championship in the leagues history.
Maddox then went back to the NFL and had a couple of successful seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Here wishing Fassel and Losman the best in the new league.
