This off-season had been one of hard times and disappointments for the Denver Broncos organization. From Jay Culter being traded to the Bears to their first round pick from two years ago considering retirement.

This week the Broncos received more bad news when the found out that pro bowl veteran safety Bian Dawkins broke his hand and it required surgery.

At this point in time it is being reported that Dawkins will not miss any regular season game time but one has to be concerned with this situation.

Dawkins is not in his traditional organization this season as he left the Eagles this off-season and signed with Denver. The Broncos also have a completely different coaching staff and they are implementing a new way of doing things this year.

All change has not been good as some veterans like star all pro corner back Champ Bailey have complained about the new coaching staffs way of running camp so far.

One has to believe that the Broncos are going to have to go through some growing pains this season, with so much turn over in every facet of the organization.

Losing Brian Dawkins for any time would be a crushing blow to a defense that was one of the worst in football a season ago.
