Denver Broncos: Kyle Orton Misses Third Day of Practice with Ankle Injury

Last week the Denver Broncos started out on fire against the Washington Redskins. Quarterback Kyle Orton threw two early first quarter touchdowns to Brandon Marshall, and it looked like the Broncos would roll to victory. However, later in the game Orton sprained his ankle and missed the rest of the contest.

This left the Broncos with Chris Simms to quarterback the second half of the game. Simms failed to produce positive play, as he completed just three of 13 passing for only 13 yards.

Not only did Sims struggle to move the chains, but he was also intercepted and sacked three times in short work.

Can Orton Play?

Because of Sims horrible performance the coaching staff wants Orton too tough it out and play in an ultra important division game against the Chargers this week.

Unfortunately, for the Broncos Orton has a bad ankle sprain that has ligament damage. Because of the injury Orton has now missed practice for the entire week.

However, just because Orton has missed the full week of practice head coach Josh McDaniels hasn't ruled his starting quarterback out.

Look for Orton to be a game time decision on Sunday as it will be a matter of if he can play on the ankle.

Hopefully, the team will have him on the field or Simms will need to turn his play around if they have any hope of beating the Chargers.
