Chargers: Is LaDainian Tomlinson Done in San Diego?

If last Sunday's loss is the final game future hall of famer LaDainian Tomlinson ever plays for the San Diego Chargers, it will be a sad note to leave the team on. Now that Tomlinson is past his prime, it looks like the Chargers are considering parting ways with their former franchise player.

For the first time in Tomlinson's career, he failed to reach over 1,000 yards (730) rushing in a season. Not only that but the man they call LT, also had a career low in yards per carry (3.3), rushing attempts (223) and receptions (20).

Not only is it expected that the team will part ways with LT, but some are saying he may not even make another squad for the 2010 season.

Based on the numbers he finished with this season I would have to agree with those that believe this great running back is finished.

A Great Career

If LT has played his final game in the NFL he leaves behind some great numbers.

Not only does LT have over 12,000 career rushing yards and over 150 total touchdowns, but he has some impressive receiving totals as well.

For his career LT posted 530 receptions (had 100 receptions in 2003 alone) for just under 4,000 yards.

This brings his total yards from scrimmage to over 16,000 in his great career.

These numbers make this great running back a clear first ballot hall of fame player.
