The same program, which showcases German pianist Lars Vogt in the Schumann Piano Concerto, as well as a performance of Mahler's dramatic First Symphony, will be presented at New York's Lincoln Center on April 13.
Vänskä, renowned for his interpretations of Sibelius works, conducts the Finnish composer's rarely-heard tone poem The Dryad to open the performances.
The concerts are held at Orchestra Hall on Thursday, April 10, at 11 a.m., and Friday, April 11, at 8 p.m., with ticket prices ranging from $21 to $83. -- www.minnesotaorchestra.org
