Ballet's Greatest Comedy Returns To Merriam Theater

Pennsylvania Ballet and Wachovia Wealth Management present Coppélia at the Merriam Theater at the University of the Arts April 18-27, 2008 First performed by the Company in 1978, and most recently revived in 2002, Coppélia remains one of Pennsylvania Ballet's most popular full-length works.

With choreography by Nicholas Sergeyev, after Marius Petipa, and a score by Leo Delibes, Coppélia finds new audiences in every generation with its physical comedy, folk dancing and screwball highjinks. A classic ballet in three acts, Coppélia offers light-hearted fun for the whole family that is sure to make you smile.
