Orford not buying into 'chicken wing' controversy

Manly half-back Matt Orford says he is not worried about Melbourne's tackling technique dubbed the "chicken wing".

Storm forward Adam Blair will line up in tonight's grand final rematch at Olympic Park, after he entered an early guilty plea to a tackle using the wrestling-style hold in last Friday's game against Brisbane.

Orford says too much has been made of the issue and Melbourne's defence should be admired.

"They work together, they've got some great systems in place," he said.

"It is a tough ask in the middle there and our forwards have definitely got their work cut out."

Orford says he has not dwelled on last year's grand final, which the Storm won 34-8.

"My memories of that grand final were we all walked out, linked arms and sung the national anthem, looked up and saw 80,000 people, that was the highlight of mine," he said.
