Children learn about violins with A2SO principal second violinist Barbara Sturgis-Everett and are led through dance by Gari Stein to songs played by Sturgis Everettt and pianist Kathryn Goodson. The movements help children enjoy music in an active way that encourages learning and creativity. Also, there will be an "instrument petting zoo" so that children have the opportunity to handle and play small violins and cellos. This concert is sponsored by the Ann Arbor District Library, the Ypsilanti District Library, the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs, TCF Bank, and the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor.
