Tanzanian president concludes china trip

Tanzanian President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete concluded his six-day China trip and left Beijing on Tuesday.

Kikwete started his visit from Hainan Province on April 10, where he met with Chinese President Hu Jintao and attended the opening ceremony of the year's annual meeting of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA).

Kikwete arrived at Beijing on April 13. Wu Bangguo, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and Premier Wen Jiabao met with him, respectively. They exchanged views on bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues of common concern.

Kikwete also visited northern China's largest port city of Tianjin on Monday, where he toured Tianjin FAW Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. and Tianjin Five Continents International Container Terminal located in Binhai New Area.

Reviewing China's precious support and assistance to Tanzania over the past years, Kikwete said the Tanzanian people value the friendship with Chinese people, hoping to strengthen bilateral all-round cooperation.

Kikwete said his visit aims to deepen friendship, enhance cooperation and improve bilateral relationship.
