Coliseum Health System along with other national, state and community organizations is leading an effort to highlight the importance of advance health-care decision-making, according to a news release.
Coliseum is providing information and tools for the public to talk about their wishes with family, friends and health-care providers and execute written advance directives, such as health care power of attorney and a living will, the release stated.
These resources are available at www.coliseumhealthsystem.com under the "patient online services" link, then "patient preregistration" link and look for the heading: advance directive for health care.
On May 12 and every other month, the hospital holds "Your Advance Directives Program," 9-10 a.m. in the Coliseum Northside Hospital conference center. For more information call 464-8171.
