Enkin will eventually be a cool navigation app that gives you best guide to find your direction and way home. The Enkin will make use of GPS, various motion sensors, 3D graphics and an online search for locations. Enkin also comes with three different modes of operation. The followings are the details.
The first mode will be the usual map mode, which allows you to choose between satellite and street views, to look for locations using the built-in web search and get the driving directions from point A to point B.
The second mode will be a 3D landscape with satellite view textures. It includes all the available features in mode 1, such as location search and driving directions. Besides, it allows you to pan the device to adjust your view, depending on the direction that you’re facing.
The third mode is the most interesting mode, which is called live mode. This mode utilizes the the built-in camera that will link the captured objects by the camera with those on the map. It shows names of the location and distance to them on top of a live view, which is pretty close to the concept of the mobile encyclopedia that we've seen before.
All the user interfaces of Enkin will depend on the orientation sensors on the device, where rotating the device will make the screen orientation change accordingly. You'll be able to just stand and look around using the device and find locations that you intend to head to. Article brought to you via www.TechChee.com
