Marley & Me has Aniston starring with Owen Wilson as a married couple who learn some valuable life lessons from a neurotic dog. Other notables in the film are Alan Arkin and Eric Dane. The movie is scheduled for release on December 25, 2008.
The production set got a visit recently from Florida Governor Charlie Crist. He met with the cast and crew as seen in a photo below. In order to entice film makers to produce films in Florida, a rebate of up to 22 percent is being paid by the state’s film incentive fund, The Don Davis Entertainment Industry Economic Development Act of 2007. Governor Crist said:
"Florida's beautiful scenery, talented workforce and outstanding film schools make the state a top choice among film producers. Other states, however, are offering increasingly larger incentives and tax credits. To remain competitive we must keep Florida ’s incentive program strong. I applaud the legislature for strengthening our ability to encourage film production and making our state a leader in the film and entertainment industry."
