There are 57 multiple-year winners among this year’s nominees.
This year’s ceremony will be highlighted with the presentation of the Corporation of the Year winner this evening during a special gala.
“GM is proud to honor our best suppliers with the Supplier of the Year Award, an award that we believe is the most meaningful honor in the industry,” said Bo Andersson, GM group vice president, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. “It is our way of telling them that we appreciate all their efforts in helping GM manufacture its world-class vehicles.
“These suppliers are the best of the best. They understand that our mutual success can only be achieved by sharing common goals and priorities.”
The award recognizes the significant contributions of GM’s suppliers in 2007 to the company’s global product and performance achievements. The Supplier of the Year program started in 1992, and each year a global team of purchasing, engineering, quality, manufacturing and logistics executives determine the winners. The team’s decisions are based on supplier performance in the areas of quality, service, technology and price.
