iGoogle Goes Artsy

iGoogle, if you didn't know, is your personalized Google page. Besides adding news and different content to it, you can now add world class artists' themes.

Google "advertised" the new themes by adding the above "Google doodle" by Jeff Koons to their standard Google homepage on Wednesday, drawing my interest (among others).

As they said on their intro page,

"Now you can put the work of world-class artists and innovators on your personalized Google homepage. Then add your choice of news, email, games, and more for a page that's as useful as it is beautiful."

The list of themes includes artists from the world of design, fashion, and music, including Coldplay , Oscar de la Renta , Dolce & Gabbana, Mark Ecko, Rolf Harris, Akira Isogawa, Jeff Koons, and Diane von Furstenberg, among others.

The themes are designed to dynamically change as the day passes.

Check out, for example, this cool Astro Boy theme from Tezuka Osamu (Astro Boy's father, so to speak; click to enlarge).
