Scottish Dance Theatre creates fresh and exciting dance theatre from both leading and emerging UK and international choreographers, as well as work by its own Artistic Directors Janet Smith - one of the most respected and established Artistic Directors in Britain today. With ten highly-skilled, committed dancers and a highly acclaimed repertoire that pushes boundaries and expectations; SDT wants to move, challenge, entertain and delight you!

The 2008 DEFINED programme has been created especially for the company by two of today's most exciting and innovative dance-makers:

DOG is an honest, gritty, and exhilarating new work by rising star choreographer Hofesh Shechter; while tenderhook by Liv Lorent is a rollercoaster ride through a loving relationship, exploring issues around freedom and attachment, by the creator of last year's award-winning LUXURIA. Liv is one of Britain's hottest young choreographers who has recently created work for the BalletBoyz and was the force behind balletLORENT's fairytale fantasy Angelmoth which performed at Blackpool's Grand Theatre in November 2007 to great acclaim.
