Los Angeles Theatre Presents Freakin’ Sweet

Center Theatre Group, in association with Steve Linder and IMG Artists, presents “Freakin’ Sweet! An Evening of Music and Comedy with ‘Family Guy’s’ Alex Borstein and Seth MacFarlane,” on Saturday, May 10 at 8 p.m. This one-night-only event will take place at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles and benefits CTG’s New Play Production Program.

Alex Borstein and Seth MacFarlane are joined by Walter Murphy, Rich Ruttenberg and the “Family Guy” Orchestra. The evening will begin with the comedy of special guest Janeane Garofalo before Alex Borstein and Seth MacFarlane lead the audience on a musical tour through the alphabet with a hilarious and irreverent 26-song set, which redefines the term eclectic.

Alex Borstein is the voice of Lois Griffin and several other characters on FOX’s “Family Guy.” She is also and is well known to “MADtv” fans as Ms. Swan. Seth MacFarlane is the Emmy Award-winning creator and executive producer of FOX’s “Family Guy” and “American Dad.” MacFarlane is the voice of Peter, Stewie and Brian Griffin as well as countless other characters on “Family Guy” and “American Dad.” Janeane Garofalo, star of films such as “The Truth About Cats And Dogs” and “Reality Bites,” is an actress, comedian and outspoken activist who was instrumental in launching Air America Radio.

“Family Guy” airs Sundays (9:00-9:30 p.m. ET/PT) on FOX.

Center Theatre Group’s New Play Production Program is a unique and comprehensive initiative which ensures that a variety of vibrant new theatrical work is produced on CTG’s three stages – the Ahmanson Theatre, the Mark Taper Forum and the Kirk Douglas Theatre.
