Azerbaijan away from civilization, officials suffering from hatred

Azerbaijani famous politicians and public figures, officials speak of Armenia so loathingly, they have been plunged in creating an “enemy image “so much that even any virtual link with Armenians from their brotherly state is considered to be a betrayal. And as there a many people among Azeris who are looking for their former friends in the CIS area, particularly in Armenia, including them in their friend's group of the Odnoklassniki.ru website, some officials suggest taking the mentioned “friendships” under the control of the Ministry of National Security.

Let's introduce some examples without comments.

Agil Abas, Milli Mejlis Deputy, journalist

“We may restore relations with Armenians only in case if they kneel and apologize to us for Karabakh. People who visit that website to make friends with Armenians are not Azeri”

Khalida Bayramova, Chairman of the committee on Human Rights Protection and adults of Sabail district of Baku.

“There is a notion such as “pathological hatred”, I have the same feeling towards Armenians. There is no good Armenian for a Turk or an Azeri”.

“When some residents of Baku under the romantic impressions search their classmates or neighbors among Armenians, moreover, include them in their friend's group, it should be pondered over the reciprocity of the attitude of the opposite side. Our compatriots must be on alert as the information may be used against our state. Let's remind that only we, Azerbaijani people must protect our national interests.”

Nizami Jafarov, Head of the Milli Mejlis Permanent Commission on Culture, NAS correspondent

“In case when Karabakh issue is not resolved, any cooperation with Armenians regardless its level may be considered as a betrayal. We may hold negotiations, discuss political issues, solve cultural problems, but make friends with Armenians when they “have occupied” our territories” is impermissible”

Zaid Oruj, member of Milli Mejlis Permanent Committee on Defence and Security

“Such friendly relations are absolutely unacceptable. Generally, all “friendly visits” to Armenia and NK within the frames of national diplomacy are unacceptable. It will cause the further freeze of the conflict and the validation of legal issues to the benefit of Armenia. That's the reason that the correspondence in the frames of the website must be under the partly control of the Ministry of National Security

Vafa Guluzade, political scientist:”Friendly relations between us and Armenians are excluded. Let's remember that our states are at war at this moment. Just imagine during the Great Patriotic War any soviet citizen dealing with a resident, even an anti-fascist from Germany. What would the reaction of Soviet government have been?”

Zardusht Alizade, independent political scientist expresses a peace-loving position confirming the positivity when representatives of two hostile nations become friend. “Regardless the war, old ties should not be broken off due to the occurred conflict between the states. I am an advocate of keeping human image even through inhuman circumstances”

P. S. If European countries may put up with the fact of definite lost territories with the lapse of time without disseminating tension among nations, Azerbaijani people must restrict themselves more, as they have lost not their own territory, but the territory ascribed to them, that is Artsakh which belongs to us. As to us, Armenians, we have never spoken in such a hostile way against the Turks, elder brothers of Azeris, who have violently seized our lands and committed genocide. At least our officials, politicians and public figures have never given such an abrupt estimation to those facts
