Talk Show Host Suggests Deporting Armenians From Glendale

After the incident, Handel’s e-mail has been attacked by a number of letters condemning racism. After that Handel’s co-host Robin Bertoluchi said that “What Turks have started that will be finished by Handel” related to the Armenian Genocide of 1915. After the incident, the record of the mentioned program has been removed from the website of the radio station but the fact is that Bill Handel has ironically spoken of Armenians.

Armenian Association of America intends to bring a suit against both Bill Handel and his co-host. Signatures are collected all over the world against the racist statements and behavior of Bill Handel and his co-host.

This is all in the light of the fact that California State has recognized the Armenian Genocide in contrast to the US.

Several newspaper and radio stations from Armenia and from the Armenian diaspora are in the process of communicating with KFI 640 AM and requesting a response from the radio administration about this racial and inhumane comment.

HULIQ also contacted KFI 640 AM requesting an explanation on how the radio interprets what happend on the air and why is it good to compare "what the Turks started Bill will finish" to the current economic situation. KFI 640 AM returned HULIQ's email. Robin Bertolucci, for KFI AM 640 wrote. "KFI is having a meeting with the ANC this week and I will be happy to share with you the results of that meeting. We look forward to our meeting and believe it will be valuable to sit down and discuss this issue in person."
