Armenian Genocide issue in the European parliament soon

Turkey is again concerned with the international acknowledgment campaign of the fact of Armenian Genocide. As Turkish “Sabah” daily informs, the issue of the Armenian Genocide will be raised at the European parliament on October 6.

“October 6, conference entitled 'Genocide Denial' and supported by the German Bundestag Christian – Democratic parliamentarian Elmar Broch, will be organized at the European parliament.”

It is informed that the conference is organized by the Union of Armenians of Europe, Jewish secular community center and the French branch of IBUKA.

It is with emphasized anxiety that the Turkish daily mentions the fact that the conference is organized in parallel with the Armenian – Turkish relations normalization process.

Probably, Turks erroneously think that international acknowledgement and condemnation of the fact of the Genocide is contradictory to the Armenia – Turkey relations improvement. Meanwhile, the Republic of Armenia, at the highest level – presidential statements – has declared many times that the official Yerevan will have the Armenian Genocide as priority issue of its foreign policy.
