Youth Orchestra 2007 European Tour

19 YOA musicians have been invited for a 2-week residency at Maestro Lorin Maazel's "Castleton Farms" in Rappahannock County, Virginia, for the period April 4 - 19, 2007. YOA musicians will rehearse and perform The Rape of Lucretia by Benjamin Britten, with libretto by Ronald Duncan after the play by Andre Obey, together with seven vocal soloists (TBA).

The concert will be held in Castleton Farm's intimate Theatre House, which allows an unparalleled degree of communication between performers and audience.

The program included works by Tom Jobim, Tito Puente, Sonny Rollins, John Coltrane, Consuelo Velásquez, and Machito, among others. Free and open to the public at the Enrique V. Iglesias Conference Center, Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, DC.
