Due to overwhelming audience response The Children's Theatre Company (CTC) is bringing back the Twin Cities' smash hit If You Give a Mouse a Cookie for a limited summer run July 8 – 20, 2008.
CTC's production has received rave reviews from critics – "a rollicking-ride" (Pioneer Press) and "probably the best kids play I've ever seen" (MN Parent) – and audience members alike – "I laughed and laughed through the whole thing because it was soooo silly. I had so much fun that I went back to see the show again with some friends from school!" (Taylor, age 5).
The current run has had such a tremendous response from audiences that it is nearly sold out with less than two weeks to go. CTC wanted to make it available to Twin Cities' audiences again this summer. The remount will be held on the UnitedHealth Group Stage, and the run will be short – 22 shows in two weeks from Tuesday, July 8 - Sunday, July 20.
"The response to this show has been overwhelming," said CTC Artistic Director Peter Brosius. "People love Dean Holt and Reed Sigmund – they are hysterical to watch, each show is different and every time they step on stage it's an adventure. We want to be sure everyone has a chance to see this wild production based on the deeply beloved book."
Most enjoyed by children ages 4+, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie remount will run Tuesday, July 8 through Sunday, July 20. Tickets are $14-$35. -- www.childrenstheatre.org
