Reno Chamber Orchestra Presents 'Experience Music'

Posted May 13th, 2008 by ruzik_tuzik

As part of Artown, the Reno Chamber Orchestra presents the first of its "Experience Music" conversations on musical subjects on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at 12:00 noon at the McKinley Arts and Culture Center Auditorium, 925 Riverside Drive in Reno.

Attendees are invited to bring a brown bag lunch for this free talk, in which RCO staff members Scott Faulkner and Chris Morrison present an informal introduction to the world of classical music in "Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Classical Music, But Forgot To Ask."

The "Experience Music" presentations by the Reno Chamber Orchestra are informal and non-technical discussions on musical subjects – including music listening and audience questions – with the goal of making classical music more accessible and entertaining for music enthusiasts and novices alike.

The Reno Chamber Orchestra's "Experience Music" talks are part of the 13th annual Artown festival, July 1 – 31, 2008. The month-long summer arts festival features more than 350 events produced by more than 100 cultural organizations and businesses in locations citywide, with major funding provided by the City of Reno. -- www.renochamberorchestra.org
