Wii is still kicking arse in terms of sales overall.
And yeah, learn English.
Microsoft says it has sold 10 million units of Xbox 360. Despite strong competition from Nintendo Wii and Sony Playstation it's a great achievement, says Microsoft.
The company reached a historic record for selling 10 million Xbox 360 games, said the Microsoft. The company reached its goal despite the challenging competition from the other video game manufacturing companies like Wii and Playstation PS3.
According to the sales-listing Wii stays in the second spot with 8.8 million sales, while PS3 in third spot with 4.1 million sales. Actually, thats a really good competition performance on the part of Wii.
Matt Peckham writing about Sony's corporate earnings says that Playstation 3 almost does not have any chances to repeat its past success. "The PS3's chugging along at 12.6 million units worldwide since its late 2006 launch. It'll be lucky to sell half as many systems by the time the PS4 shows up (as early as 2010, by the way). Sony predicts it'll sell another 10 million PS3s for the fiscal year through March 2009. That would make around 23 million. Compare that to the Xbox 360's 19 million and Wii's 26 million already today."

Understand that 360 has been out longer than ps3 and yet ps3 has already dominated in sales acrossed the world. Yes they are great systems, but ps3 has components that the 360 doesnt have and by the end of 2008 sony will again dominate in sales due to its free online gaming and fun games coming out for the summer/fall and winter. The 360 has dominated in the US, but ps3 is moving quick and at the rate its going will be on top. ps2 has been out for almost 10 years(in 2000) and its still in. I love both systems and have them both, but microsoft has alot to catch up with sony. Remember that the 360 has been out longer than the ps3 by 16 months and ps3 has come out on top in europe, asia and the middle east. alot of games are coming out for the ps3 in the next 6 months. sorry to say, but sony will be the next gen gaming system.
Yes Sony has free online, but anyone that has played both systems would realize that the ps3 blows when it comes to online gaming. Also if you play the same game on both systems-90% of the time the game plays better on the 360. Anyone that disagrees to this fact is an idiot because most of the 3rd party companies will say the games they make play better on the 360. Now on the other hand some Sony has games that look amazing. I have never seen better graphics then Metal Gear Solid 4. Just remember for all you fan boys out there- the more competition the better the industry will be!!!!!!!
The figures, spelling and
The figures, spelling and grammar in this article aren't quite right. For a start off, the 360 is only winning in the US. Most of your figures are only based on US sales. There is a whole world outside of the United States. In Europe, the PS3 has now outsold the 360 in consoles sold even though the Xbox 360 had a 16 month head start. That's pretty impressive in anyones book. Plus, there is no plan for a PS4 by 2010. Sony have always said that the lifespan of the PS3 will be at least 10 years. With all of the feature updates and addons (e.g. PlayTV dual digital TV tuner, not to mention its updatable Blue-Ray player capabilities), it looks to surpass even that. The PS2 has been out 8 years and is still selling strong. It has no where near the expansion capabilities of the PS3.
