On Sunday, May 25, at 7 p.m., Seattle Symphony double bassists Joseph Kaufman and Jonathan Green will lead a local all-star ensemble in an eclectic chamber music performance marking the final concert in the 2007–2008 Seattle Symphony at The Triple Door series.
The program will showcase a variety of pieces written for the bass, including Sergey Prokofiev's Quintet in G minor for violin, viola, bass, oboe and clarinet, Morton Gould's Benny's Gig for Clarinet and Bass and more.
The program will include performances by SSO musicians and friends, including bassists Joseph Kaufman and Jonathan Green; violinist Steven Bryant; violist Sue Jane Bryant; flutist Scott Goff; oboist Dan Williams; and clarinetist Jennifer Nelson. -- www.seattlesymphony.org
